In memory of my father, Ramón Eloy Chancay Ortega

My father was born in 24 de Mayo, Manabí, Ecuador, and that is where he went back to rest in October 2026.

He was a painting contractor. He worked on large projects and luxury homes, with the care of someone who takes his trade seriously. The quality of his work became my reference, and from him I learned to always aim for excellence in what I do.

He was a brave and strong man. He loved to read, and when he was young he loved going back to his hometown to meet his friends and listen to music. He was a very good friend, with a sense of humour that made any day lighter.

We share the same name, and I carry it with pride. This page exists so that anyone searching for "Ramón Chancay" knows there were two of us: him, my father, and me, his son.
